Happy Heart Health Month

February is Heart Health Month which is a great time to learn about how to keep your heart healthy and prevent heart disease. Today, we're kicking things off with Wear Red Day to bring awareness around women and heart disease. Did you know that the leading cause of death in women is heart disease?... While nearly 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman’s greatest health threat, claiming the lives of 1 in 3 women. That’s a third of mothers, sisters and friends.

We at the Jason Thompson Foundation know this reality all too well and are committed to helping others prevent the loss of a loved one to heart disease. Showing your support is easy, simply wear red today and start a conversation about women and heart health. You can also make a donation to help organizations such as ours to continue to advocate for women's heart health. Lastly, it's never too late to get heart smart and L.I.V.E. a heart-healthy lifestyle, so be sure to educate yourself and visit your doctor to better understand your current heart-health standing

and the solutions to help you strengthen your heart, naturally through diet and exercise.
